Q: Can actors touch you?

A: The actors will not touch you, and you are not allowed to touch the actors.

Unless, of course, you are attending Lights Out EXTREME

then they WILL touch you!

----------------------------------------------

Q: Is the factory haunted?

A: During construction of The Asylum inside of the old factory building, several unexplained occurrences have been reported. The original building dates back to the 1940s.

-------------------------------------------

Q: Where is The Asylum a Haunted Attraction?

A: The Asylum is located approximately 1.5 miles north of downtown Evansville (as the ghost flies), situated a just west of Fulton Ave between 7th and 5th avenues.

Our entrance is located at 1545 Devon Street in Evansville, Indiana.

If you want to mail us something, reach out to us via our CONTACT page.

-------------------------------------------

Q: Where do I park?

A: During our Halloween season, parking for The Asylum is located along 7th Ave near our 1545 Devon Street entrance and along Eichel Ave. Parking is limited but is free. There are no parking meters near the factory. Please be mindful of where you have parked and of our neighbors.

Parking is first-come, first-served. If you require accessible parking, please see one of our parking attendants or staff and present your placard. Parking accommodations will be made for your vehicle.

General Admission/Fast Pass tickets do not go into effect until your tickets are redeemed by our ticketing staff on the property. Fast Pass does not get you special parking.

For those who wish to park elsewhere, METS does have a bus stop next to our entrance. Please check the METS website for schedules and fares.

---------------------------------------------

Q: Is there an age limit for admittance?

A: Yes, a parent or guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 16. The Asylum is not recommended for children under 12, however, they are your child and we won’t stop you from giving them nightmares.

------------------------------------------

Q: How scary is it…like really?

A: The Asylum is built into a real and old abandoned factory. We dare you to find out.

-------------------------------------------

Q: How long does it take?

A: The Asylum has moments where guests interact with our attraction. Due to this, the duration may last 15-20+ minutes. Your experience will be quicker if you hurry through like a chicken…it’ll be longer if you barely make it out alive…

------------------------------------------

Q: Do you accept credit cards/debit cards?

A: Yes. We accept credit cards/debit cards at our ticket booth and online.

----------------------------------------------

Q: Do I need to print my tickets if I buy them online?

A: Printing your tickets at home and bringing them with you ensures that your ticket can be redeemed but a physical copy isn’t required. We can scan your tickets from your phone once you arrive. Your screen needs to be undamaged and your phone needs to be on, of course.

------------------------------------------

Q: Can I go through if I am pregnant?

A: We do not recommend anyone with medical concerns or anyone who is pregnant tempt Dr. Eastbrooke, however, this is your decision to make. YOU need to know your own limits. If you give birth in the factory, you must name the baby after the character that scared you.

Rules are rules.

--------------------------------------------

Q: How long is the wait?

A: The Asylum uses a virtual line system. This means no waiting in super long lines even on our busiest nights. When you arrive and check in, you can linger around outside our facility or go back to your car and wait for us to notify you when your group is ready to enter. After that, your wait is just a few minutes!

--------------------------------------------

Q: Do you have outside entertainment?

A: Your night begins the moment you set foot on property. From outside scares to music to carnival games, this is more than a haunted house.

-------------------------------------------

Q: Do you have covered waiting?

A: Yes, our main waiting area and ticket booth are under our giant covered bay. If that doesn’t work for you, you are more than welcome to wait in your car until your group is notified to enter the factory.

------------------------------------------

Q: How does the virtual line work? How will my group be notified?

A: Once you arrive and have your tickets redeemed, you or your group will be up into our waiting list. This gives you or your group the opportunity to mingle around the grounds, get food, play games, or even go back to your car.

Once we are ready for you to enter, you or your group will be notified by text message. You’ll get alerts when we are almost ready for you, too, so that you aren’t caught by surprise. This means no standing in long lines that barely move.

----------------------------------------

Q: Is The Asylum wheelchair accessible?

A: YES! We take pride in making our event as accessible as possible for those who need assistance getting around. This includes walkers, canes, strollers or wheelchairs. We will do our best to make your experience as enjoyable as we can.

----------------------------------------

Q: Is anything kid friendly? What about those with audio/visual sensitivities?

A: YES! Sunday, October 20th from 4-6PM is our Lights On – No Scare event that is geared towards families with young children or those who are sensitive to loud sounds or flashing lights.

The Asylum: Lights On – No Scare is just $10 per person and features the factory with all the building lights on and our scary characters removed. We even shut off the scary props. This gives your little ones the chance to experience a grown-up haunted house without the extreme elements.

We even suggest they dress up in their Halloween costume and make it a pre-Halloween event!

----------------------------------------

Q: Okay fine, it sounds scary, but I want more! Is there something even more intense?

A: Yes, there is! Join us November 1st & 2nd for Lights Off @ The Asylum. This event takes our regular season show and makes it darker than night by turning all the lights off. Still want more? The last two hours of each Lights Off night will be even more intense. Lights Off EXTREME will be a touch experience. This means, while you try and survive the darkness, our characters will be in limited physical contact letting you know they are there and in control.

Check out our EVENTS page to learn more about this event and consider purchasing a bundle ticket to experience both our regular show and Lights Off @ The Asylum!

------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------

Q: Do you have food and drink available?

A: We will have food/drink venders on-site.

-----------------------------------------

Q: Do you have The Asylum merch available?

Q: What should I bring to The Asylum?

1) Dress appropriately. You will be in an abandoned factory and walking on surfaces designed to throw off your balance. Also, our outside lot is gravel. Closed-toe shoes and comfortable attire are strongly recommended.

2) Bring your phone. This is the best way for us to notify your group when we are ready for you. You’ll receive a text from us so keep it charged. IMPORTANT: Phone use will not be allowed inside the factory or any other attraction. This includes video/photos and your flashlight.

3) Cash isn’t required but having some to spend is nice. Our tickets and merch can be purchased with card; however, we can’t guarantee our food/drink venders will accept them. Also, some of our carnival games will prefer cash payment.

---------------------------------------

Q: How can I work at The Asylum?

A: Contact us to learn more!

---------------------------------------

Q: Can I be kicked out?

A: YES. The Asylum does not allow excessive bad language, unruly behavior, drugs or alcohol, or weapons. Smoking is only allowed in designated areas on property. The use of cell phones for video/photos inside the attractions is not allowed. Using the phone’s flashlight is also not allowed. Be respectful of other visitors and have fun!

---------------------------------------

Q: Do I get my money back if I don't make it through? Do I get my money back if I'm too scared to go in? Do I get my money back if…?

A: No, there are NO REFUNDS once you purchase a ticket.
